Head and neck surgery is an important part of the otolaryngology (ENT) specialty. This surgical field covers the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the head, neck, mouth, throat and larynx.

Masses seen in the head and neck region, lymph node enlargements, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, salivary gland diseases (parotid and submandibular glands), tumors in the larynx and pharynx region are conditions that can be treated with high success with early diagnosis.

Surgical interventions are planned according to the extent of the disease, the location of the tumor, and the general health status of the patient. In some cases, biopsy, imaging methods, and multidisciplinary teamwork may also be required.

  • Parotid (salivary gland) tumors
